These early “photographers” aimed to record their lives as realistically as possible. They even figured out how to make paper out of the papyrus plant so they could make photo albums!

The need to document our lives, especially milestone events such as weddings and childhood, is not exclusive to 21st century folk. Imagine if the Egyptians had digital cameras and lighting! There wouldn’t be enough museums in the world to fit all the photos.
